Sayoko Yamaguchi
Model and expressionist Sayoko Yamaguchi, the charismatic actress active in the 70s and 80s who carved Japanese beauty into the memory of the world. She had a charismatic dignity that she infused in her work, and yet also the pure innocence of a young girl. With her characteristic pure white skin and jet-black bob cut hair that resembled a sacred Japanese doll carefully created by the most skilled craftsmen, she created a massive global impact and huge surge in interest in the Japanese. In contrast to her mysterious charisma, in personal life she was loved by those around her for being incredibly naïve and pure, like an innocent young girl. The epitome of the Japanese beauty, her existence is forever remembered by the world and still provides inspiration to creators even to this day.
