Ulrika and Fredrik were fed up with their busy office-life in the big city when in 2015 they decided to become the ultimate chocolate makers in Österlen/Sweden. Their unique chocolate is deliberately made without the addition of cocoa butter, flavours, vanilla or lecithin.
The Swedish Cacao Company gets their cocoa from fermentation masters who work with small country farms, e.g. Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania, Coop-id Matale in Sri Lanka and Öko Caribe in the Dominican Republic.
The Swedish Cacao Company is not certifying their chocolate through third party organisations because they strongly believe in transparency and accountability as key factors towards a truly sustainable and fair world
